Dear Solomon ward Sisters,

I just received an email from our Relief society President Sister Karen LeSueur , and she was passing on a request or a suggestion from our Stake President ,Pres Speakman. We are in hard times and the holidays are apone us , they are asking that when we are buying our gifts for family this year, or for ourselves that we consider year supply items . This can help in two ways , cut our out going cost for the holidays and help us to build our year supply or our 3 month supply depending on what you are working on at this time.
You can make this fun and nice by what you do , build a basket with Items in it and put a recipe in to give some ideas for those you are giving to . Have fun with it and make it something you would like to get . some Ideas for the baskets.
1. do items for a breakfast

2. Do a theme for a dinner meal and put in some hand towels or candy for the theme like chocolates from the country the meal would come from.

3. Sweets for the sweets, sugars of all kinds, sweetened condensed milk, honey , Karo , sugar , brown sugar, chocolate chips , you can have fun with it.

4. Add ribbon and clear wrapping and it will look like you bought it that away.

Hopeful the counsel of the Stake President with not fall on deaf ears, but that we will stay out of financial problems and help get us in a better place for the hard times that we are in, or will be in.
